Ingredients

Serves 6:

  • 7 1/4 oz (200g) brown sugar

  • 3 tbsp flour

  • 3 1/3 fl oz milk

  • 2 1/3 oz (60g) butter

  • 1 egg

  • 9 oz (250g) pie crust dough (refer recipe)


Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C.

  2. Mix the brown sugar, flour, and milk in a saucepan. Add 1 1/2 oz (40g) of butter. Stir well. Bring to a boil and boil for about 5 min.

  3. Take the saucepan off the heat and add the whole egg, beaten. Cool.

  4. Roll out the dough and line a greased tart pan with it. Pour the mixture over the tart shell. Bake for 20 min.
