Cakes and Pastries Recipes - Cottage Cheese Tart Recipe

Ingredients

Serves 6:

  • 10 oz cottage cheese

  • 3/4 cup crème fraiche

  • 4 eggs

  • 4 1/3 oz (125g) sugar

  • 1 packet vanilla sugar

  • 2 oz (50g) cornstarch

  • 1 tbsp kirsch

  • 10 oz (280g) pie crust dough (refer recipe)

  • 1/2 oz (15g) butter


Method:

  1. Whisk the cottage cheese together with the crème fraiche, the eggs, the 2 sugars, the cornstarch, and the kirsch. Set aside.

  2. Preheat the oven to 450°F/230°C.

  3. Roll out the dough and line a greased tart pan with it. Cover the tart crust with the cheese mixture.

  4. Bake for about 30 min. Allow it to cool before turning it out on a cooling rack.

  5. After it cools, chill until serving.
