Nut and Spice Cookie Recipes - Rose Water Cookies

 

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup/150 g all-purpose/plain flour

  • 1/8 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup/125 g butter, softened

  • 2/3 cup/140 g granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup/50 g finely chopped almonds

  • 1 tsp rose water


Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C/gas 4. Butter two cookie sheets. Sift the flour and salt into a medium bowl.

  2. Use a wooden spoon to beat the butter and sugar in a medium bowl until creamy.

  3. Mix in the dry ingredients, almonds, and rose water to form a stiff dough.

  4. Drop teaspoons of dough 1 inch (2.5 cm) apart onto the prepared cookie sheets.

  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden. Transfer to racks to cool.
