Cookie Recipes - Chocolate Vanilla Drop Cookies

 

Ingredients

  • 1cup/150 g all-purpose/plain flour

  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/8 tsp salt

  • 2/3 cup/175 g butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup/100 g granulated sugar

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract/essence


Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F/190°C/gas 5. Butter two cookie sheets.

  2. Sift the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt into a medium bowl. Beat the butter and sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer at high speed until creamy.

  3. Mix in the vanilla and dry ingredients. Drop tablespoons of the dough 2 inches (5 cm) apart onto the prepared cookie sheets.

  4. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until firm to the touch. Cool on the sheets until the cookies firm slightly. Transfer to racks to finish cooling.
