Cookie Recipes - Chocolate Chip Halloween Cookies 

Ingredients

• 1 cup/150 g all-purpose/plain flour

• 1/2 tsp baking powder

• 1/2 tsp baking soda

• 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

• 1/8 tsp salt

• 4 tbsp butter, softened

• 1/2 cup/100 g granulated sugar

• 1/2 cup/125 ml  canned pumpkin puree

• 1/2 tbsp finely grated orange zest

• 1/2 cup/90 g semisweet/dark chocolate chips

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F/190°C/gas 5. Set out two cookie sheets.

2. Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt into a large bowl.

3. Use a pastry lender to cut in the butter until the mixture resembles fine crumbs. Stir in the sugar, pumpkin, and orange zest.

4. Stir in the chocolate chips. Drop teaspoons of the dough 2 inches (5 cm) apart onto the cookie sheets.

5. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden. Transfer to racks to cool.
