Cereal and Seed Cookie Recipes - Easy Aniseed Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups/300 g allpurpose/plain flour
1 cup/200 g granulated
sugar
1/8 tsp
salt
4 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
4 tbsp Muscatel wine
2 tbsp anisette
1 tbsp aniseeds
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 tbsp vanilla sugar
Method:
Stir together the
flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Gradually
mix in the oil and wine.
Add the anisette and
aniseeds and knead until smooth. Refrigerate for 30
minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C/gas
4. Butter and flour a cookie sheet.
Roll out the
dough to a thickness of 1/8 inch (3 mm). Use a
2-inch (5-cm) cookie cutter to cut out the cookies. Continue cutting out cookies until all the dough is
used.
Transfer the cookies to the prepared cookie
sheet. Prick all over with a fork.
Brush the
cookies with the beaten egg and sprinkle with the
vanilla sugar. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until
just golden. Transfer to racks and let cool.
