Cereal and Seed Cookie Recipes - Corn Flake Squares Recipe

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup/50 g corn flakes

• 7 tbsp butter, melted

• 1/2 cup/100 g firmly packed dark brown sugar

• 1/2 cup/50 g candied green cherries

• 1/2 tsp ground ginger

• 1/8 tsp salt

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C/gas 4. Butter an 8-inch (20-cm) square baking pan.  

2. Mix the corn flakes, butter, sugar, cherries, ginger, and salt in a medium bowl. Firmly press the mixture into the pan.

3. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool before cutting into squares.
