Cereal and Seed Cookie Recipes - Caraway Moments Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup/150 g all-purpose/plain flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/8 tsp salt

  • 7 tbsp butter, softened

  • 1/4 cup/50 g + 1 tsp granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp milk

  • 1 tsp caraway seeds


Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F/190°C/gas 5. Set out two cookie sheets. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into a medium bowl.

  2. Beat the butter and 1/4 cup (50 g) sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer at high speed until creamy.

  3. Mix in the dry ingredients, followed by the milk to make a soft dough.

  4. Form the dough into balls the size of walnuts and place 2 inches (5 cm) apart on the cookie sheets. Sprinkle with the caraway seeds and remaining sugar.

  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until lightly browned. Cool on the sheets until the cookies firm slightly. Transfer to racks to finish cooling.
