Cookies Recipes - Iced Buttery Orange Cookies

Ingredients
Icing: (optional)

1 cup powdered
sugar

2 tbsp orange
juice
(Makes about 4 dozen.)
Method:

Instructions for jar:
Spoon sugar
into 1 liter jar. Sprinkle chopped nuts over
sugar.

Combine flour
with baking powder, salt and orange peel.

Spoon flour
mixture over chopped nuts.

For bakign:
Preheat oven to 350° (176°C). Empty contents of jar
into large mixing bowl.

Stir butter and egg into dry
ingredients until dough is mixed well.

Drop dough by
rounded teaspoonfuls on un-greased baking sheet.

Bake
9 to 11 minutes or until edges are light brown. Cool
and ice, if desired, before storing.
To make icing:
Add enough orange juice, a liter at a time, to
powdered sugar and stir as you add it, until it
reaches frosting consistency. Drizzle icing over
cookies and let dry.
