Method:

Preheat the oven to 340°F/170°C.

Break the egg
into a mixing bowl and beat it lightly with a fork until
it has a creamy consistency and the yellow color pales.
Set aside.

Sift together the flour and baking powder
into a bowl. Add the cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix and add
the ground clove. Give the pepper mill 7-8 turns, and
successively blend in the honey, milk, and beaten egg,
making sure the batter remains smooth.

Grease a cake
pan with a volume of about 4 cups.

Using a
spatula spoon the batter carefully into the pan. Bake
for an hour.

Allow the spice bread to rest for about
5 min, then turn it out on a rack to cool.
