Serves 8:
Method:

Blend together the 2 sugars, the eggs, and then the
flour.

Melt 8 3/4 oz (250 g) of butter; when it
cools combine with the batter.

Preheat the oven
to 340°F/170°C.

Melt the chocolate, broken
into pieces, in an bowl over a double boiler. Leave
to cool slowly.
-
Add the melted, not too hot,
chocolate to the batter. Add the pecans.
-
Grease a
cake pan.
-
Pour the batter into the pan. Bake for
35 min.
