Cakes and Pastries Recipes - Pecan Brownies Recipe

Ingredients

Serves 8:

  • 2/3 lb (300 g) sugar

  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 3/4 oz (50 g) sifted flour

  • 9 1/6 oz (260 g) butter

  • 5 2/3 oz (160 g) dark chocolate

  • 4 1/4 oz (120 g) pecans


Method:

  1. Blend together the 2 sugars, the eggs, and then the flour.

  2. Melt 8 3/4 oz (250 g) of butter; when it cools combine with the batter.

  3. Preheat the oven to 340°F/170°C.

  4. Melt the chocolate, broken into pieces, in an bowl over a double boiler. Leave to cool slowly.

  5. Add the melted, not too hot, chocolate to the batter. Add the pecans.

  6. Grease a cake pan.

  7. Pour the batter into the pan. Bake for 35 min.
