Cakes and Pastries Recipes - Fresh Almond Cake Recipe

Ingredients

Serves 8:

  • 7 oz (200 g) fresh un-blanched almonds

  • 7 1/2 oz (210 g) flour

  • 7 1/2 oz (210 g) soft butter

  • 2 eggs

  • 7 oz (200 g) sugar

  • 1 pinch of salt


Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C.

  2. Chop the almonds finely. Set aside.

  3. In a bowl blend 7 oz (200 g) of flour, 7 oz (200 g) of butter, the eggs, sugar, salt, and ground almonds.

  4. Blend the mixture carefully until it is soft and pliable.

  5. Grease and flour a 10 inch (24 cm) pan.

  6. Pour the batter into a pan. Bake for 40 minutes.
