Ingredients
Serves 4-6:

4 1/4 oz
(120 g) flour

1/2 oz
(100 g) sugar

3/4 oz (50 g) almond powder

1 packet vanilla
sugar
-
1/2
packet of baking powder
-
2 eggs
-
2 3/4 oz
(80 g) dark chocolate
-

1/6 oz
(90 g) butter
-
2/3 cup (160 ml) milk
-
3
1/2 oz
(100 g) flaked almonds
Icing:
Method:
-
Preheat the oven to
375F/190C.
-
Mix the flour with
the sugar. almond powder.
vanilla
sugar.
and
baking
powder. Beat and
add the eggs.
Set aside.
-
Melt the dark chocolate. broken into
pieces. with 2 1/2 oz (70 g) of butter and the milk
in a double boiler. Add this mixture to the
preceding mixture.

Grease a 10 inch (25 cm) cake
pan and line with baking paper.
-
Pour the batter
into the pan and bake for 40 min.
-
Turn the cake
out immediately after removing it from the oven and
allow it to cool on a cooling rack.

Prepare the
icing: melt the chocolate, broken into pieces. in a
double boiler. Coat the cake with a spatula. Sprinkle
the surface and the edges with almond flakes.
