Cakes and Pastries Recipes - Apple Cake Recipe

Ingredients

Serves 6:

• 3 eggs

• 5 2/3 oz (160 g) soft butter

• 1/3 lb (150 g) sugar

• 1/3 lb (150 g) flour

• 1 pinch of salt

• 4 apples

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).

2. Separate the egg whites from the yolks.

3. Place 1/3lb (150 g) of butter and the sugar in a food processor. Blend for 1 min. Add the egg yolks. Blend for an additional minute. Add the flour and blend quickly.

4. Whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt until they form stiff peaks. Fold gently into the mixture.

5. Peel the apples, cut them into pieces, and add to the batter.

6. Pour the batter into a greased pan. Bake for 30 min.
