Ingredients

12 puffets

cups all-purpose flour

tablespoon baking powder

tablespoon sugar

slightly beaten egg

1 cup milk

tablespoons butter, melted

3/4
cup snipped dried tart cherries

2 tablespoons sugar

1/4
teaspoon ground cinnamon

tablespoons butter, melted
Method:

Grease twelve 2
1/2-inch muffin cups; set aside.

In a
large bowl stir together flour, baking powder, the 1
tablespoon sugar, and the salt. Make a well in the
center of the flour mixture; set aside.

In a small bowl combine the egg, milk, and the 3
tablespoons melted butter. Add to the flour mixture
along with the cherries.

Stir just until dry
ingredients are moistened. Divide batter among
prepared muffin cups.

Bake in a 400°C oven about 20
minutes or until tops are golden brown.

Remove from muffin cups. Stir together the 2
tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon.

Brush tops of
warm puffets with the 2 tablespoons melted butter.
Dip tops in the sugar-cinnamon mixture. Serve warm.
