Blueberry Muffin Bread Recipe

 

Ingredients

 

Makes one 1 1/2 pound loaf (16 slices)

  • 3/4 cup milk

  • 1 egg

  • 3 tablespoons water

  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, cut up

  • 3 cups bread flour

  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar

  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/3 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast or bread machine yeast

  • 1/3 cup dried blueberries

  • 1 recipe Powdered Sugar Glaze (optional)


Method:

  1. For this bread, be sure your bread machine pan has a capacity of 10 cups or more.

  2. Add all of the ingredients except the Powdered Sugar Glaze to the bread machine according to manufacturer's directions.

  3. Bake the bread using the basic white bread cycle. If desired, drizzle the cooled loaf with Powdered Sugar Glaze.

  4. Powdered Sugar Glaze: In a small bowl stir together 1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar and enough milk (1 to 2 teaspoons) to make a glaze of drizzling consistency.
